Shannon Choe
Pregnant moms, enjoy the expecting and leave the details to this Mom on the Move!
by: Lianda Swain
After hearing her neighbor joke about inadvertently becoming a friends’ wedding planner, Shannon Choe had a brilliant idea! “What if there were baby planners?! Someone who helped mothers plan for their first babies!”
Pregnant her-self, Shannon, realized that first-time moms need a lot of support when preparing for their first bundle of joy. Shannon thought, “how amazing would it be to have a team of experts at your disposal to help take care of every little detail involved with planning for a baby?”
Shannon was always coming up with fun inventions and creative concepts while rocking her baby to sleep. After thinking of the concept for a Baby Concierge, she knew she had struck gold! After receiving nods of approval from her husband and friends, Premier Baby Concierge was born.
Shannon, 35, a mother of three children all under the age of 5 years old, has always enjoyed working with families, especially the little ones. Spending her teenage years babysitting, her college years studying education and psychology, and her latter years teaching and serving as an operations manager for the Goddard Schools, Shannon says she has always “felt comfortable and felt that is was part of my passion to work with children.”
Shannon majored in Psychology in college with the intention of becoming a teacher. She eventually became the owner of the Village Learning Center in Philadelphia, and then moved on to work for the Goddard Schools, a system of schools nation-wide that aid in the development of a child’s lifelong love to learn. Goddard teaches and cares for children as young as six weeks old to as old as six years old.
Shannon enjoyed a slightly different role in education at Goddard, as she worked in the operations department, extensively traveling and opening up new Goddard Schools all over the nation. Shannon absolutely loved the excitement of opening new schools and working with different kids and teachers on a monthly to yearly basis; and she was sure that she would continue until she realized the necessity for a service to help women prepare for their first born babies.
Shannon says, “ Although every woman is unique, every woman is still having the same growing pains when preparing for their baby’s arrival,” and she adds happily, “it’s fun to help your girlfriends!” Based on the goal to make every “mom-to-be’”s life a whole lot easier, in April 2007, Shannon created Premier Baby Concierge, a one stop for customized baby planning and concierge service. Premier Baby Concierge offers everything from one-on-one education sessions in your home, maternity wear consultations, pediatrician searches, and meal delivery after your baby arrives, and much more.
Two weeks after Premier BabyConcierge.com went live, Shannon unexpectedly found out that she had a little bun in the oven herself. “How ironic is it that the baby planner gets pregnant!” she laughs. So, while dealing with all of the pregnancy symptoms, Shannon decided to wait until her new born was three months old before she jumped back into her new baby service, running full steam ahead! Since then, she has received an enormous amount of attention and praise for her services that give a mom as much or as little help as they need.
The service can be as little as having someone walk through Babies –R- Us with you, to one of her experts delivering meals to your doorstep daily. She explains, “ everyone has different joys of baby planning, but if there is something that a mom doesn’t necessary enjoy preparing, that’s where we come in!”
Premier Baby Concierge is partnered with many services on the Main Line and in the Philadelphia area, which cater exclusively to Shannon’s clients to give you optimal treatment making your experience easier and most enjoyable.
Premier Baby Concierge provides incredible services. Just exploring her website makes you feel at ease. Her services can cost anywhere from $75 to $500 depending on what the mom-to-be desires. It is completely customizable!
While Shannon’s services come from many well-respected companies in the area, her personal expertise include, but are not limited to, baby registry, baby showers, and most significantly, her home-made baby food. She has mastered an all-natural, extremely simple way to make baby food at home that is quick, easy, and a true life- saver.
Not only does she provide personal assistance to moms all over the tri-state area, Shannon is also the Secretary of the National Baby Planners Association Worldwide. Through her initial research, Shannon found that Baby Planning has been around for some time, but has become a rapidly growing market in the past couple years.
"I just love the excitement and the ability to walk them through the process!” she exclaims. “There are so many things that we tend to forget or not even think of when it comes to preparing for a baby, so I love helping moms take care of everything!”
Shannon is truly an amazing mom of three, who strives to make your pregnancy easy, exciting, and most importantly, fun! So, enjoy expecting and leave the details to this mom on the move!
